Manager will manage all aspects of partner relationships to support 3Degree’s growth objectives.

You will operate as an external and internal liaison for partnership, management, and support.

You excel at developing new opportunities and are passionate about the climate agenda and the opportunity to decarbonize global businesses.

You are an expert networker and communicator, analytical thinker, strategic in approach to problems, organized, and self directed.

You bring extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas: EACs (RECs, GOs, IRECs, etc.), Carbon Offsets, Climate Consulting, with proven business development expertise.ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a dynamic, high impact, and innovative role.

The overall goal of the Sr.

Manager, Business Partnerships, Renewable Energy and Climate is to develop senior-level relationships at companies with both strategic and complementary services, and close new partnerships that incorporate the needs of the 3Degrees commercial business plan.

This plan includes delivering on renewable energy certificates (RECs), carbon offsets and carbon advisory services, transportation decarbonization and procurement and advisory services for climate mitigation consulting.

Day-to-day responsibilities include sourcing and coordinating communications with new partners, managing the entire pipeline of existing partners, and coordinating with the commercial teams to ensure world-class performance for sales and delivery.

You will attend conferences, engage prospects, define requirements, build strategic business partnering cases, negotiate and close new partnerships.This position is open to remote candidates.

Interested candidates must have recent business partnerships experience and professional networks in the areas noted above or in connected industries.WHAT YOU’LL DO Develop partner strategy for commercial market(s), identifying and prioritizing partner opportunities using your network, social media sites, research and other sources, such as existing 3Degrees relationships. Generate leads through direct prospecting and networking efforts, including attending regional or national conferences, etc.

Expected travel approximately 25%. Actively listen to and engage prospective partners, identifying needs and synergies, providing education and guidance, and working to identify fit/no-fit. Manage a complex partnership cycle from prospect identification through contract completion, ensuring accuracy in communication and documentation throughout the process. Maintain and grow existing partners by ensuring loyalty through excellent customer service, timely communication and follow through. Work cross-functionally, collaborating with various internal partners to ensure service excellence. Deliver accurate, up-to-date sales forecasts and activity tracking in Salesforce. Proactively contribute to continuous improvement, providing input on 3Degrees products, marketing strategies, sales and delivery improvements and team collaboration. Stay abreast of the climate mitigation industry, 3Degrees’ competitors, new product offerings and pricing through 3Degrees staff, industry publications, webinars, etc. Represent 3Degrees in a professional manner in the market and at conferences and events.WHAT WE’LL NEED FROM YOU Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience selling to large commercial accounts. Understanding of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and associated global standards and protocols such as GRI, SBTi’s, Net Zero, and others. Strong understanding of REC’s and/or Carbon Offsets, Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (“VPPAs) and consulting services related to climate mitigation. Proven ability to source and develop strong and strategic ecosystem relationships that drive business. A collaborative self-starter with a proven track record of sales success with channel partners.

and/or 3rd party sales networks is preferred A desire and passion to assist large commercial clients with achieving carbon reduction and/or renewable energy goals. Experience selling energy products or services to major commercial customers preferred. Professionally trained on value based selling techniques and strategic solutions selling preferred. Experience selling products and services to multi-nationals preferred. Individuals with a Degree in business, environmental science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience have the best opportunity to be successful in this role. HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS Within the first 60 days you will become familiar with our Commercial products, services, and customer solutions approach. Within the first 90 days you will complete a strategic partnership plan and approach for executive approval.
