– OperationsPOSITION SUMMARY:Marathon Petroleum is looking to fill the Renewable Facility Manager role at its first Renewable Diesel Facility in Dickinson.

This position provides unique opportunity with exposure to one of the company’s newest and fastest growing energy solutions.

The Renewable Facility Manager role for Dickinson is responsible for the overall operation of the facility and adjacent rail terminal.

This role is accountable for assuring a safe and efficient operation of the site and the supervision of all operating personnel.

The Dickinson Renewable Facility Manager will report to the Holly Jackson, Operations Manager at the Mandan Refinery, located approximately 100 miles east of Dickinson, ND.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership to establish priorities and pursue measurable business improvement opportunities.

Clearly define strategic vision, communicate goals and expectations, and ensure team member accountability.

Develop a strong working knowledge of the refinery HESS rules, procedures, regulations, and initiatives and ensure personnel understand and comply with the established rules.

Maintain field presence, building operational discipline capability and re-enforcing life critical expectations.

Serve as the conduit for communication between frontline employees, the Area Team, peers, and the RLT.

Request additional resources if problems or issues are beyond the abilities of the site team resources.

Manage team meetings and coordinate team reports for Refinery Staff.

Ensure the team follows the incident investigation standard by promptly reporting incidents, having qualified personnel lead incident investigations and imbedding lessons learned.

Drive culture of Production Centered Operations by ensuring successful implementation of production plan through planning, communication, and management of area resources.

Align team’s efforts to maximize reliability and availability of area equipment through proactive identification of issues, defect elimination, and preventative maintenance.

Allocate area team resources to support effective planning and execution of major project and turnaround work.

Understands rules and regulations required for shutdown, decontamination, and startup procedures and activities to execute work.

Develop and manage an annual budget to meet the established targets.

Establishes and communicates clear expectations for organizational behavior and manages performance of team members through coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback.

Support and represent the facility in community relations and local public policy issues.

Serve as the Refinery Incident Commander (IC).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Operations experience is strongly preferred.

7 years Refining experience and 2 years of experience in Operations Supervision is preferred.
