Project Manager – Renewables

Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of various renewables projects throughout the U.S. including maintaining all daily operational aspects in line with the budget, business development, and customer relationship management, planning and overseeing project start-up and closure, and performing risk management activities to include safety and asset accountability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision and leadership of assigned personnel.
  • Allocates people, equipment, and assets to optimize project completion.
  • Ensures scope, design basis, and objectives are defined, best practices/lessons learned reviewed, and detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, and procedures are established.
  • Oversee sub-contractors, assets, rental equipment, etc.
  • Monitors and controls all contractual commitments to ensure that all work is being performed in accordance with the project specifications.
  • Implements and maintains a change management control system.
  • Ensures that all Customer communications are documented.
  • Manages costs to maximize revenue.
  • Facilitates with the project team the development, communication, implementation, update, and continual use of the Project Execution Plan.
  • Reviews and approves project control systems that measure progress/performance, provide early warning of deviations from Plan, and identify corrective actions to be taken.
  • Identifies quality requirements and ensures the proper processes are identified and implemented to achieve contractual needs.
  • Oversees the Document Control and Records Management function.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in project management, budgeting, contracts, and customer service.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • Self-motivated capable of exceeding in a team environment
  • Proficient computer skills
