Apply here to start an extraordinary career today.Job DescriptionMain Responsibilities:* Manage and lead supplier quality efforts across AES’ renewables businesses which includes developing and implementing quality standards, monitoring the production and quality of products, driving corrective action processes, and supporting technology innovation to ensure safe, quality, and timely supply of renewable equipment.* Partner with suppliers, engineering, project managers, and construction teams to implement the unified strategy defined by the Global Supply Chain team to deliver projects on-time and under budget* Coordinate with suppliers and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to contract terms including managing the quality of products, traceability of supply chain, and timeliness of production. Responsible for tracking production and identifying and resolving potential delays prior to shipment.* Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures and drive corrective action processes with key suppliers and/or Contract Manufacturers. Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.* Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality and implement these methods with third party audit and inspection teams.* Oversee the maintaining of records and reports, such as process documentation related to quality, production, and testing to support financing and invoicing of the product. Responsible for documentation results and findings after inspections are completed* Work together with relevant teams and departments to identify and implement constant improvement initiatives with suppliers and driving technology advancements.* Develop, report and support achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI).* Contribute to the leadership and the continued growth and development of the Supply Chain teamQualifications:* Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain/Procurement or engineering field or technical field from accredited entity* 5 to 10 years of experience in quality and manufacturing experience in Renewable Energy Market (Wind, Solar and/or Energy Storage)* Track record of ability to instill confidence as a credible, reliable, and expert support resource for team members* Exceptional organizational, communication, decision making/problem solving, analytical, relationship and time management skills* Takes initiative to identify what needs to be done, doing it before asked, and follows up with other to ensure commitments have been fulfilled.* Team player with strong initiative, able to work autonomously to complete tasks but equally able to enlist the support of cross-functional team members and external suppliers and partners* Demonstrated success working to develop consensus from diverse opinions in a highly fluid and sometimes ambiguous multi-cultural environment* Knowledge of ISO standards* Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information* Supplier Quality Engineering background* Continuous improvement, lean, or Six Sigma experience* Ability to analyze data to draw conclusion, make recommendations and drive change* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP, Quality Management and databasesAES is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
