Asset Management Senior Advisor (Renewables) (4317)

This is a Part-time position in Windsor, CT posted May 12, 2022.

ENGIE’s Asset Management team manages assets across multiple ISO’s in the United States as well as Canada.

As an integral part of this team, the Asset Management Senior Advisor will manage a set of assets holistically.

This includes the management of commercial strategies including the coordination of the implementation of those strategies, development, and coordination of asset optimization projects, tracking of profitability of the asset, contract understanding, landowner relationships, and overall operational purview.

The Asset Management Senior Advisor will also manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

This position will be based in Houston, TX, and will report to the Director of Partnership & Asset Management.

What you’ll do: For new assets, manage the assets during the transition time including all aspects of asset management including applications for any governmental credits For new assets, ensure adequate handover of the project from the delivery and business development team to the operations and asset management organization For Canadian assets, manage the assets in their entirety including the facets below Develop an in-depth understanding of the asset contracts including PPA, landowners, service agreements, OMA, and AMA agreements Drive asset optimization projects and opportunities including project due diligence, financial analysis, and quantification of value creation, implementation and closeout through cross-functional Deep Dive events and team collaboration in order to achieve financial value in excess of performance targets Develop and maintain gross margin assumptions for each asset for annual business plans, business interruption insurance planning, and other internal forecasting efforts Evaluate actual gross margin each month and analyze variances to budget Ensure accuracy of invoicing monthly in collaboration with the centralized accounting organization, with a focus on individual assets Manage relationships with landowners including resolution of issues, payment management, and proper accounting for accruals Develop a risk matrix for each asset in collaboration with the operations and commercial teams Create monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reporting for individual assets, ensuring accuracy and consistency of reports to partners Expanding responsibilities as new projects and portfolios are added to partnerships Maintain an in-depth understanding of energy markets, market fundamentals, and ISO protocols .

What you bring: Bachelor’s degree required.

Business Economics or Business Administration is preferred MBA or other professional qualifications a plus Minimum 10 years of relevant Asset Management experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience in the market structure and protocols of multiple ISO’s Experience with partnership or joint venture businesses Commercial acumen with a good understanding of business principles, contracts, and relationships including specific experience with power purchase agreements, tax equity agreements, and portfolio partnership structures Ability to unravel and interpret complexity in contracts and accounting rules Deadline driven with project management skills for cross-organizational coordination Ability to manage multiple competing priorities on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including advanced Excel skills Why ENGIE?
